After five years in the medical equipment reconditioning industry, the company he was working for folded and Andrew decided to finally pursue his dream of starting a new business.
SCORE mentor Dick Perez was integral in the planning stages of the business and in giving Andrew that final push he needed to really commit to the venture. In addition, Perez’s help in securing funding sources and a succession of loans was imperative to the start of the company. Throughout Monet Medical’s growth, Andrew continues to consult Dick with big issues and decisions.
Through economic ups and downs, Monet Medical has had an impressive record of long-term growth; today it is among the ten largest re-conditioners of biomedical equipment in the country grossing over $6 million and employing 26 people. Today Monet Medical boasts state-of-the-art biomedical and cosmetic refurbishing facilities and equipment and is poised for continued growth both domestically and internationally. Monet Medical was recognized by SCORE as the 2014 Outstanding Veteran-Owned Small Business.
